R. Kyle Pritts, Jr. Funeral Director

Kyle is a second generation Funeral Director and present owner of Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, and has served the community with over 40 years of funeral services.

He grew up in the beautiful rural mountains of western Maryland, moving with his family to Westminster at the age of 8.

He attended and graduated with honors from Carson Long Military Institute. At the age of 17 he began working for the family business, Pritts Funeral Home, formerly the Myers-Pritts Funeral Home on Willis Street. He graduated from Catonsville Community College with a degree in Mortuary Science, and after serving his apprenticeship he became licensed in 1980. Due to rapid business growth Kyle and his father, Robert "Bob" Pritts, began the merger/relocation to the present Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel. After the sudden death of his father Kyle took ownership of the family business in 1998. 

Kyle was an active member of the Westminster Fire Department, and is an honorary member of the Kitzmiller Fire Department.  Long time member of the Sons of the American Legion Carroll Post 31, the Westminster Elks, and the Knights of Columbus. He is also a member of St. John Catholic Church.

Kyle enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors. He is an avid Ravens and Orioles fan.

He is the proud father of daughters Audrey Pritts Coder of Westminster and Emily Pritts of San Diego, and proud grandfather of Cameron, Kylie, Keira and Quinn.

Kyle is proud of the services provided by himself and his staff to the community. He has created a beautiful and distinctive funeral home that has been named Carroll County's Best Funeral Home, and Honorable mention several times over the years. He truly believes "Service Comes First."

Audrey Pritts Coder Funeral Director

Audrey Pritts Coder was born and raised in Carroll County. She graduated from Westminster High School with the class of 2000 and furthered her education at Villa Julie College graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing. She worked as an Emergency Room Nurse and ended her nursing career in 2014 as a Shock Trauma Nurse at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

In 2013 she moved back to Westminster and began working at the funeral home, and graduated in 2015 from CCBC Catonsville with a Mortuary Science Degree. She is proud to be a third generation funeral director and continue her family's legacy with providing compassion and care to families during a time of need.

Along with her husband, Chris, she is very involved with her children: Cameron, Kylie, and Keira and their many activities.

Mark J. Deskiewicz Funeral Director

Mark has been a Licensed Funeral Director and Mortician since 1999. He is a graduate of The Community College of Baltimore County, Catonsville Campus where he received his Associates degree in Mortuary Science. He is also a Graduate of Eastern University in St. David's, PA where he received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Small Business Management.

While attending Eastern University, Mark met his wife Jennifer and they were married in August of 1996. Upon completion of his education at Eastern, they moved to Jennifer's home state of Maryland. Mark attended CCBC at Catonsville while serving his apprenticeship in Carroll & Baltimore County. Mark joined the staff of Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel in June of 2004.

Mark and his wife have two sons and currently live in Westminster, Maryland. He is an avid sports fan, especially of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. He enjoys camping and spending time with his family. Mark and his family attend Crossroads Community Church in Westminster. Mark is a 3rd degree Master Mason of Ionic Lodge #145, AF & AM in Reisterstown, MD. Mark has served as an Assistant Scoutmaster for his son's Troop #395 in Finksburg, MD. Mark is an Eagle Scout and enjoyed reliving his childhood days as a Scout with his boys.

Barbara Mochinal Funeral Director

Barbara joined Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel as a Funeral Director Apprentice in 2014.

Barb is a career changer, having obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Drexel University and spending most of her career as a Grants Administrator.   After years in administration, Barb realized she wanted to assist people in a personal way.   Funeral service would provide her the opportunity to help families during a most difficult period in their lives.

She returned to school, earning a degree in Mortuary Science at the Community College of Baltimore County in 2014.  She obtained her Funeral Director’s License in 2016, retired from Maryland Public Television in 2017, and was hired as a Funeral Director at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel.

Barb moved to Westminster with her husband, Dave, and their two sons, Michael and Andrew, in 1994.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends in the Westminster community.

Irvin Cedillos Funeral Director

Irvin was born in El Salvador and moved to Owings Mills, Maryland when he was 8 years old.  He graduated in 2007 from Owings Mills High School and in 2012, he earned a Mortuary Science Degree from the Community College of Baltimore County.  Irvin has been a licensed mortician for about 5 years and is also a certified crematory operator.  He joined the staff at Pritts Funeral Home in January 2018 and takes pride in being able to help families celebrate the life of their loved ones.

Irvin currently resides in Owings Mills with his wife, Cecy, daughter Eliana, and his dog Pancho.  In his free time he loves to draw and spend time with his family.

Jordan Thompson Funeral Director

Jordan was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of Western Maryland. She is a 2017 graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and a 2018 graduate of Point Park University, ending her education with a Bachelor's degree in Mortuary Science. Jordan has been a licensed mortician since 2019. She joined the staff at Pritts Funeral Home in November 2023 and is honored to serve the Carroll County community.

 

Jordan currently lives in Westminster with her fiancé, Dylan, and furbabies, Macie, Denver, and Theo. She is an avid Taylor Swift fan and loves spending her free time at a concert with her fiancé, or reading a good book.

John retired in September 2015 but continues to assist us.

John grew up in Baltimore County and was a 1971 graduate of Milford Mill High School. He has been a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1977 when he graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He served his apprenticeship and worked 25 years for Loring Byers Funeral Directors, Inc. in Randallstown, Maryland and also for 2 years with the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home in Winfield, Maryland. He came to the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, P.A. in July of 1998.

John has been married to his wife Barbara since 1975 and lives in Eldersburg, Maryland. He is the father of daughter Kelly Forney and son Tim Aymold (Melissa) and four grandchildren Allison, Nathan, Tyler, Ryan. He likes traveling, motorcycles, shooting sports and is an avid supporter of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles.

John has served as President of the Maryland State Funeral Directors Association, the German Society of Maryland and the Pikesville Kiwanis Club. He is a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Shipley and the James A. Garfield Camp #1, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.

Audrey Pritts Coder was born and raised in Carroll County.
